Open Door I try to find a little peaceThough I struggle day to dayThis pain is all consumingI think it’s here to stayI aim to accept the darknessThat we all have insideBut I find it overwhelms meAnd keeps me bound and tiedI know I should do this and thatAnd try a little spellBut because of its relentless natureMy soul hurts like hellI try to think of happier thingsAnd focus more on meTo feel connected to this planetFrom the mountains to the seaIt’s that which keeps me goingKnowing that I’m connectedThat I’m part of this web of lifeThat nature has perfectedAs sure as spring follows winterAnd day follows nightI know I’ll get through thisAnd end my temporary plightSo next time you feel the pullOf darkness to your coreAccept you will not be trapped There is an open door….
